On July 7, the Coordination Council held a round table <\/span>\u201cBelarusian economy during and after the political crisis\u201d<\/b>. The experts presented an analysis of the current economic situation in Belarus and predicted what economic scenarios await the country after overcoming the political crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was attended by representatives of the economic group of the Coordination Council – <\/span>Dmitry Kruk<\/b> and <\/span>Ales Alekhnovich<\/b>, a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council <\/span>Olga Kovalkova<\/b>, as well as a representative of the working group on business and founder of the Imaguru business club <\/span>Tatiana Marynich<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vasilis Maragos<\/b>, Head of the Neighborhood Negotiations and Enlargement Negotiations Department of the European Commission made a report \u201cSupport to the people of Belarus and the EU Comprehensive Plan to Support Democratic Belarus\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The following was also discussed at the round table<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n

– The current state of the political and civil spheres in Belarus;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0– EU policy towards Belarus: support, sanctions, and solidarity<\/span>;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0– A brief overview of the state of the Belarusian economy as of June 1, 2021;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Problems and needs of the private sector of the Belarusian economy;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Plan of economic recovery in Belarus.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by representatives of the <\/span>European Parliament<\/b>, representatives of the <\/span>embassies of Sweden<\/b>, <\/span>France<\/b>, <\/span>Latvia<\/b>, heads of international foundations, political democratic <\/span>parties,<\/b> and <\/span>public organizations<\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
